Soft valvesprings was the problem
Mark your parts, if you are going to reuse them!
Sharp edges on the block and heads were smoothed out, makes it more pleasent to work arround the engine! hehehe

Sandblasted the intake, before paint!
Even the timingcover and waterpump, got treated with a grinder and paint!
Ballancer got treated as well
new timingchain in place
Nice looking intake
Lapping the valves made a lot of difference!
New valvesprings were mounted, and man what a difference!
Engine on its way back together again
cardboard boxes are brilliant for painting nuts and bolts

Had my son helping this day, summer vacation! hehehe
It was in and out a few times!
Celebrating with an old friend! hehehe
Wiring..... I hate wiring
But do it right, so it dont bite you in the a.. later on!
this far on that day, theese are taken through the whole summer!
And I had waited a long time for this little thing!
A brand new HEI distributor for my car, from Skip White
This is Chinaware, cheapest there is, but they work, (most of the time!)
Skip has spareparts for them, and he is enough of a businessman to know, that they dont all work perfectly, so he's got spareparts, and a few on stock! hehehe

The clearcoat wanted a divorce, and it's a though one, so i'm spending a few weeks bringing her down to the original primer! She needs a new coat of paint! hehehe
We are now in september, and its getting colder over here, so I'm hoping that I'll be lucky enough to find us a new place to live, since our landlord doesn't seem to want to fix the dodgy wiring in the house!
I got electrocuted a few weeks back, due to the lack of grounding wires in the house! just a little jolt of 220V, but it scared the sh..t out of me! hehehe
So we had the local authorities checking it out, together with the fire department. and he got ordered to have it fixed by november, if not, the house would be condemned!!
And I have not seen an electrician here yet!
