rookie racer
my dad ,brother and i recently bought a 1972 plymouth duster with a 440 bored .060 , with 11.5/1 pistons and a tunnel ram sporting dual 750 edelbrock carbs. i was wondering if anyone had any camshaft suggestions or tips they wanted to share. the car ran 6.40s in its day, but i feel it could do better..

i just bought a mopar cam that specs out at .620 lift and 324 advertised duration. its mechanical that makes power from 4000 to 7000 rpm. That sounded just right for us. what do you think?

the heads are the stock magnum heads with quite a bit of port work done . i dont think you could get the ports any bigger. the valves are almost touching too. its got double valve springs with dampers, and titanium keepers and retainers

we thought about that. the cost is the only thing holding us back. but its in our future. any tips on advancing or retarding the cam? ive heard big blocks run better retarded. but we have always built em straight up.
