however, again, i remember when the NHL had players who made contact once in a while. so if that little elbow bothered you that much, then you dont think that players like grimson, probert, etc should have been in the league at all then?

the "little" elbow bothers me now because of what the league has become and is today - instigating and cheap shots in the closing seconds of a definite defeat has no room in the current nhl. you are comparing guys from the past in a vastly different league and applying them to todays standards which doesnt work.

btw, the grim reaper and probie have nothing on joey kocur!

they don't like getting hit anymore than the next guy . call there bluff , the best thing about fighting them is they are so predictable . hahaha we had the Tongans Samoan wars back when i was a teenager . they pretty much stay on there side of the freeway now ( the **** side ) . haha now they fight with all the sudanese & other African trash that have been lobbed upon us . the main thing we have on our side are guns are not easy to come buy over here . so the average dumb **** who wishes they were in LA stands out . if there lucky they might have a sawn off .22 bolt action , hahaha while the good ol boys have got grandads 303 & sxs shoty haha . btw when the gun laws came in 1996 there were 450000 sks rifles sold in Australia , only 45000 were handed back hahahaha there's still 405000 waiting for the call . bring it on hahaha .

having been a goaltender, i am pretty disgusted with the fact that pretty much every wings goal has come with a guy PARKED in front of the net. bylsma wasnt a good player, and i dont think that hes a very good coach.
