Hi from GA old guy w new 62 413
HI fellas, nice to 'meet' you. I'm an old car guy who picked up a decent old 62 Belvedere. Vin says it started life as an 8 cyl. Its a 2 dr post, black car. Still black with red. DOUBT it is/or was a real wedge car but the manifold, heads and a whole bunch of other numbers seem to check out as real, except a 440 block. Radio/heater delete. Cutouts, solid lifters, giant cast headers that go into a 3" dump, more leaf springs on one side than the other, manual trans, 4:10 posi tapered axle chunk, and a whole lot of giddyup. Not show by any means, but a blast to drive. Whoever did the work (looks to have been along time ago) did a good job. Regardless, I'll mess with it to see if I can get it in a little better shape. Hope to give a little here for the common good, but looking forward to finding out more about my car. I am in GA by Augusta. If any of y'all are down this way give me a shout. Take care. George
