New here from NY
Hello all, new member here from Rochester, NY.
Just recently purchased my first classic Mopar (and first classic vehicle also), always been a diehard Mopar fan so I'm happy to be involved.
Vehicle is a 1963 Plymouth Fury with a slant 6 225, 4-speed manual. The engine was recently re-built prior to my purchase, although I don't know what it was re-built with...all I know is it has "high performance pistons and cam" aside from that I have no idea. The car will be delivered soon to my house so I will get a better idea once it arrives.
Any advice you all can give regarding the slant 6 motor? Things to watch out for, concerns? Any good websites or places where I can get parts for this motor and vehicle?
Eventually I plan to swap it with either a 383 or 360 but that's a long time from now, or possibly fab up a turbo kit for it. In any event, I know I will need a new tranny no matter what I decide to do.
Sorry for the long intro, glad to be here
Jeff

and how true is that lol was the first lesson in my house, eg. my dad and his brother get drunk one day (Irish thing) and buy this really nice 50 Plymouth except over night it turned into a 50 Pontiac and he was so pissed he crushed it that day, "All I seen was the P at the start" was his excuse .... my dad was the best!!!
