question about what project to look for

So buddy of mine has an srt-8 engine/trans/ecu full setup from an srt-8 charger

i want to drop it in an old mopar

got someone with a 68 plymouth vip i could get really easy that already runs and drives with a 360 in it, but idk if its what i want to use

any advise on what cheap mopar rollers are? and where to find them?
i dont even know the lineup for mopar muscle cars in the 60s so any help would be appreciated

thanks

Welcome!

Look around for a Plymouth Valaint. They are the "value line" of the Dodge Dart and can be had for pretty cheap. Usually they came with a slant 6 motor.

Here are some 68's:http://www.allpar.com/history/plymou...uths-1968.html
Like it says highend, I like the Hot Rods but old luxury modernized is the way I would like to cruise and with the SRT power you sure could go around alot of unsuspecting new cars. I love the idea.

yea girlfriends dad ownes mopar city up in illinois

hopefully will be a good summer project and will take the 8 hour drive up there to see him in it :P

ive always been a ford guy with a few camaro's here and there, miata, plymouth laser turbo, and might as well try mopar!

well thanks all! think i found a few around here, send 3-4 emails to people on CL

found a 1972 scamp thats in excellent shape for 2000$ and it runs and drives, itll hurt me a lot to pull original motor out...

found 2 late 60 model darts that just needed body work/paint

only duster i found is an old friend of mine use to do a lot of tradin with, he said 400$ come get it, but it needs a LOT of work

ima keep looking till i find a good deal!

also, guy has the full IRS from that SRT cost wise would hurt my wallet a lot!
but that would be a killer ride if its even possible

You should be able to find almost anything you want at MoparCity just outside of Oregon Illinois they have it all. Check with them, there are just down the road from me.
