400B BB build up
Hello to all, I am new here and very interested in making this my main source of info. I have built quite a few diesel engines but never a gas much less a mopar. I aquired my Grandpa's pk when he passed away, it is an Adventurer 150 with a 400 BB in it, I have it out and am wanting to build a 500+ motor. I am open to anything anyone has to say. I cant say that money is NOT an issue but it is not primary, I have enough to play a little.

Check out a stroker kit !! www.440source.com , Hughes engines, Mancini racing many places that offer kits If it is in the budget maybe a set of aluminum heads.. Just keep the compression reasonable to run pump gas for a street motor. Most important thing is to talk to an experienced Mopar engine builder not your Chevy friends..

Cheapest most proven stroker for a 400 is a 440 crank with the mains turned down to a 400 main size and the rods journals turned down to a Chevy rod journal size. Some good after market rods available for that combo. I would use Muscle Motors for a stroker kit. They only do Mopars.

Low diff.
The pk I have has a very low rearend in it, I am wondering what my best options are for getting something that cruises at 65mph without being on the redline, its really bad.

A p/u has plenty of room for an overdrive! Larger tires will also effectively lower your gear ratio. If it isn't 4wd, then changing the cogs shouldn't be to pricey.

Not sure what is meant by PK but I am guessing the "adventurer 150" is for a 70's 1/2 ton truck(?)
As mentioned taller tires. Rear gears or an overdrive from a newer truck.
Got any more info or pictures.
