that would b e a seriously difficult swap due to the location of the steering linkage, the width of the chevy and the hedders and the shape of the chevy oil pan. I'd find a 400 mopar and stroke it. It would fit much easier and its been done many times over.

Someone on THIS forum may be able to help you with a MOPAR swap.

Ya if ya wanted a 100 hp, Chevy is the way to go...hahahaha

I have a dumb question, not as dumb as the very first one Is the 400 Chrysler the same block as the 440, or is it the same as the 360 block?

the 400 block is a bored out 383

For the money you would spend on a 502 conversion, you could very easily build a 512" 400 stroker. Since 400 engines are easy to find ( I bought three in the last year for less than $750 ) you can spend a few thousand and have over 500 CID, aluminum heads, and probably well over 750 lbs of Torque. I'm not sure how much I'll end up spending on my stroker motor, but in the end, it will be well worth it.

no, unless you install a 8 qt. oil pan, then i dont really know
