Cant get new (340 equivalent) valve springs on intake valves

Hey so I’m new to this forum. I’ve got a 76 d100 and I just put a summit k6901 cam kit in a stock 318. I’ve already broken it in with the stock valve springs. I got trick flow springs, I can’t remember the part number but I think there a little stronger than stock 340 springs, and have a smaller spring inside. Then I have 744-16 comp retainers on top, which have a 7 degree lock. Well I got a spring on the exhaust side with no problem. But the intake side is a different story. It feels like I can’t compress the spring enough, even tho I can somewhat see the grooves on the valve. I recently bought some new keepers that are 7 degree, but i still can’t get the keepers in. I don’t know if this helps but I’m using a harbor freight spring compressor. Idk what to do.

Do the new inner springs fit over the valve seal boss?
