Chrysler 440 Lifters
Hi Guy's
I am in the Uk with a Jensen Interceptor which runs a Chrysler 440
Last week I had all 16 lifters replaced as I had what we thought was a noisy one.
Unfortunately the engine is just the same as before, so can you guy's suggest what to do next.
The engine was rebuilt some years ago with new camshaft and pistons etc and has only done 12k since.
The problem I have is when I start the engine from cold I have a very loud tapping from the left side of the engine which gets quieter as the engine warm up but is still there, my mechanic was sure it was the lifters so we changed all 16 to be sure but made no difference.
Any ideas please.
Thanks
Michael
