Need help trouble shooting!

Hey y’all! I’m having two issues with my ‘83 automatic D150

1) when the truck isn’t warmed up it slips between gears. If it’s warmed up the issue goes away for the most part. Has anyone experienced this? If so was it the tranny or torque converter?

2) when I accelerate and let of the gas fast I get a loud clunking sound on the passenger side.

any leads would help. Thank you.

Welcome.

1- Check transmission fluid level.

2- Check kick down operation.

3- Check for broken motor mounts.
