1970 Plymouth Fury III convertible

My 1970 Plymouth Fury III convertible, 318 with a two barrel carb and 727 trans, 50k on the odo believed genuine two owner car in horrible green (i searched for it that way) with matching interior lol

had this for roughly 18 months and it had sat for 5 years before i picked it up, the previous owner had passed away (he owned it 27 years before it was parked) and i brought it from his wife in Nebraska and had it shipped to Atlanta, put some fresh gas in it, pumped up the tires and fired it up and i drove it around for a month or so, it ran like crap,

took it to a local guy who gave it an electric ign conversion (kit from summitt of stock mopar parts) he also did a nicer twin exhaust, re built the carb, fitted a new fuel pump, shocks all round, 4 new tires, belts, hoses, filters oils etc also fitted a new brake booster and re built the master cylinder, i drove it around for another couple of months,

then the local custom shop took it away for a few days and dropped it 4 inches in the front and three inches in the rear, modified the exhaust, fixed a bunch of little stuff gave it a tune up and handed it back to me so i drove it around a whole lot more and put another 4k on it since its my only 4 wheel means of transport (i ride a motorcycle everyday) and i drive it regularly, at this point i removed the stock hub caps painted the rims almost the same color as the car and fitted some smoothies!

about a month ago i decided it needed some work so i had the entire brake system replaced (they were very touchy) and the wheel bearings, took it to the trim shop and had the stock from seats re built with new springs and foam but kept the original vinyl cover and at the time chose to replace the stock white vinyl convertible top with a nice new black fabric one with a new rear winder and pads wires etc,

so in the 18 months ive had ive put 5000 miles on it and replaced most the serviceable items, its no rocket ship but it scoots along and if i try does 17mpg for a tank combined driving, it stops starts and steers like a modern car starts first time every time and never left me stranded anywhere, its not pretty and needs a paint job now so the car matches the roof, its regular transport for my two neo mastiffs who drool all over it!

next will be rims, i cant make up my mind which direction to go with the rims, classic steelies but wider, period alloys but taller and wider or just go with the resto mod deal and fit some black 20 inch late model multi spokes but anyway i thought i would post up a few ics thank you guys for the info i have gained reading this forum and see if you have any ideas!

the day it arrived
