the fox that never was
i started out with a 92 lx mustang, and this will be my build thread. first thing i did was get replacement body panels to fix other ppls mistakes. ended up getting a 79 front end 82 hood, 79 doors. i found me a 5.0 started working on the efi for it and snagged me a svo trans(didnt want to get a 5.0 but it was easy to get)
then i came across a guy that was will to trade my svo trans for a 383. i thought hmmm sounds awesome only prob is hes in independence KS and im in tulsa so i couldnt just go down the street and look at it, he said its a complete motor and it had been stored in dry storage for 15yrs only missing a valve cover. i said ok wel i can get em from work for 60 bucks. so we decided to meet up on sunday, i means its only 120 miles to get there and i drive a hemi with my lead foot. i get down there seeing alot of oldies along the way, motor is sitting on a tire missing valve cover, exhaust mani, no accessories but i drove all that way i wasnt commin back empty handed so i got that and the 727 and its all from a 69 coronet 2bbl.
get home that night and start the tear down and got the heads off and i almost started to cry when i saw this
