318 break in

I have a Chrysler 318 out of my 1986 D150 that I had rebuilt and I'd like to run it on the stand before I install it back into the truck. I need to know what size belt is used to go from the crank to just the water pump since I do not have the accessories on it yet. Any help would be appreciated!!!

Thanks!
Jay

what i would do is either measure it or tie something around it and then take that to the auto parts store. most of em don't mind you rummaging through belts to get the size you need if you don't have a specific application. i've done it tons of times on both sides of the counter.

Unless you have a dyno ? It would be just as easy to install the engine and then run it... Just make sure to use a HI ZINC oil

Cut a old belt the size you need then go to the parts house
