Stupid Question(Probably?)

Hey guys, I'm back after a long wait. I bought a Cherry Picker and an Engine stand, then I had to move.

Anyways.

I just got done putting my 360 on my Engine Stand. The stand says it can support up to 1000 LBs.

I asked my brother if the engine will last on the stand for a long time. He said it could, but I just wanna verify that question.

Will the stand be able to hold the engine for quite some time while I start taking it apart?

I did buy it at Checkers and it's a ProXone brand.

Thanks guys.

The stand will hold that engine to the end of all days!
Do not worry about it. The 360 is no 1000lb. I had mine on a cheap *** 1000lb engine stand for about 1 year no issues. The weakest link are the bolts that screw into your block anyway. There I made sure I get some good grade screws. 8.8 is the minimum I would use.
Rather then that no worries.

Kool, kool.

Well the bolts I'm using for the block are Grade 8 and 3 inches long. I had to use three washers to make up for the clearance.

But thanks a lot!

Your good.
Just don't start stacking stuff other than your 360 on it or we'll have to come and poke you for not putting the engine into use...
