Triva Q #43 Power streeting fluid

Gents -

I've always used ATF in the power steering box. Looking around I noticed that most of the straight "Power Steering Fluids" have a "leak stop" or "seal conditioner".

Was always taught that you never use any leak sealant in anything - it usually just gummed up the works.

So what's the deal? Are these safe (and yeah, I have a small leak from the pitman arm seal) and are any brands better than any other - just seems to be a lot of them.

Any thoughts, please???
