346 Heads

346 Heads
Just picked up a pair of 346 Heads, need to be redone but in great shape, no rust or damaged threads. Will these work ok on my chrysler 383 with an upgraded cam with a .480 lift: it's a comp cams 268H XE. Another question I have is should I use the edelbrock intake bolts with the performer rpm intake, just want to have the proper length bolts this time, thinking thats why the heads cracked where the intake bolts on. I am figuring it will cost around $600 for the heads to be redone and assembled.

I have read the article before. The 346 heads had higher numbers towards the .450 lift. But are the higher numbers good or bad still new so I am learning. Also I am positive the heads I have are not the flat head smoggers. The casting number has 346 at the end not 345 as they said in the article. The guy has HP 906 heads also which only has the stiffer springs. But I was thinking of going back and grabbing those too. Only $100 so and in decent shape.
