Fitech 6 pack efi
Hi everyone
I have a 1970 challenger that has had a 440 conversion done and after not being able to enjoy driving it as the gas fumes are too much. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with the fitech 6pack efi? Is it a direct replacement for my current holley 6 pack (will the shaker setup still fit? ) will it offer the same power? I know the butterflies all open together so there won't be the rush when the secondaries open up as it does currently, but are they any good?
Also i have flaming river manual steering box and want to change over to either the firm feel power steering setup or a rack and pinion power steering setup but I'm worried about room under the 440. Having to order parts from USA so don't want to buy the wrong parts and have to ship them back. Will the power steering pump that comes with the firm feel have enough capacity to run hydro-boost brakes as well?
Thanks heaps
Brad

Have you isolated where the gas smell is coming from?

The leak is somewhere between the filler pipe, tank and carbs so it shouldn't be hard to find....

Weather it helps or not when driving along and giving it a boot full it is 10 times worse. I've had it running in the garage with the door up but no puddle underneath.
I assume it's at the front because the smell comes through the car (I have to change clothes straight away)

You need to find the leak before you burn your car down...

Gas tank outlets
There seems to be 3 outlets on the drivers side of the gas tank with all but the main fuel line blocked. Shouldn't there be a return line from the carbies or is that just efi cars?

Looks To ME:
Hoses:
Main line hooded up
Vent line Plugged with a bolt... That goes to the charcoal canister up under the hood if it is still there.
Black cap is the sending unit wire ( Black Wire) that goes to the dash fuel gauge.
Green wire hose clamped on... That looks to me is what is grounding the sender to the body?
