70 Dodge D100 3 speed
I am planning on buying a 70 Dodge D100 soon, the car has a 318 and a 3 speed.
Theres a few things I would like to know, what Transmission is in the D100, and what are some common problems or things to look for with it?
The truck has been sitting for about 3 years, it runs but I want to know what to look for.

I'm unsure about the transmission. Could be something like an NP-A745. If you can get teh casting number on it, you can run that and figure out what it has.
Rust areas are the typical cab corners, back of the cab to floor area, floor boards, body mounts, innder fenders and floor support beams. The frames on these are pretty strong and usually don't need anything unless they have been neglected.

I have a 3 speed but, it was in a 76 van, and I am not sure they are the same. I would think so. The other thing is it was three on the tree so if you have a floor shifter the shifft-pattern would be different. Like back wards.
