hughes stall torque converter

hughes stall torque converter

Trying to install a Hughes converter in a 727 can't get it all the way on. My question is the 2 large slots on the new converter are a little smaller width than the old one I mean less than a 1/16 of an inch would that be enough to not allow it to slide on?

doesn't sound right. Check the #'s, do some research.. Could you have gotten a 904 converter Are there any #'s on it ?
