how to identify a tranny

i have a transmission from my duster and i sold the duster and i dont know how to find out what type of tranmission it is, can anyone help thanks

is there any other dodge trannys like smaller? it might have been out of a 6 cylinder

The slant 6 Trans looks like the 904, but the starter location is p top on the bell housing instead of down low

When in doubt find some casting numbers and start crunching them, nothing will tell you better, you should be able to see what blue 68 said and that will tell you right away

Looks like a slant 6 trans.

I can see the starter bulge on the top. A front picture of the bellhousing would give it away.

thank you that pisture helped i measured it and it was 31 and that is a 904 according to that diagram thanks again =)
