i need help with 1986 d150 cam swap

so i currently have an edelbrock #3776 intake installed and edelbrock 1406 carb with electric choke and i am now installing a set of hooker super comp headers #5811 as well as a summit k-6900 cam and lifter set and my question is is it possible to do the cam swap without removing my 318/727 from my 1986 dodge d150 thanks

If you have enough room in front of the motor to tear things apart radiator,etc.. then being able to get to camshaft to pull straight out, then possible. Must be able to come straight out and then straight back in! But again depends how much room you have. As far as the lifters etc, if you can reach in there to get to everything, then great. If not it might be easier to pull it out. My couple of pennies.. Good luck!!

I'm pretty sure others will chime in. Great place of info!
