1966 imperial 8 3/4 rearend

Someone is giving my an 8 3/4 rearend from a 1966 chrysler imperial. Does anyone know what gears it might have and would it possibly be a sure-grip. what was the most common. Ive been looking on the internet for info and cant fin any. I bought the running 440 and 727 auto from the same car. He also threw in everything on the motor and the rad and rearend. I'm hoping its a 489 3.23 sure-grip. I have a 1971 barracuda with a non sure-grip with 273 gears. It now has a 1970 340 which a will not sell. I just wanna see how it runs with the 440.

This might help, put it on some stands and mark the tire and yoke, count the # of tire rotations for every 1 of the yoke .... eg 3.55:1 = 3 1/2 turns to 1 - should be a tag on it somewhere ..... or http://www.hemmings.com/mus/stories/...feature21.html

Imperials only had 2.94's through the 60's. How do I know that? I have 2 68 Imperials. Sure grip was an auction, one of my Imperials has it.
