'67 Coronet 500 Engine Wiring Issue
We have this '67 Coronet 500 Engine Wiring Issue related to the ballast wiring. The Engine has been changed from the 383ci to a 440ci and it has a MSD HEI ready to run Billet Distributor and requires a MSD Blaster 2 coil.
The problem seems to be that to run a 12v Ignition feed to the coil and the Distributor and this runs at 6.5v when the engine tries to run.
The car has also been fitted with a higher amperage altenator and an electronic voltage regulator, which seems to be hooked up to the ballast resistor.
How can we bypass all of this ballast wiring and get a simple 12v feed to the coil & distributor also while cranking?
