68 B-Body, tic-toc-tach wiring

hi there,

i am trying to wire up my original tach (tic-toc-tach) and i dont know what the right wiring pattern is. i didn't find anything on the web and the wiring diagram in the repair manual is not very hepful in this.

which are the right contacts on the back of the tach?

how are they wired - one direct to ignition coil, but where does the other one go? ignition? not sure.

i have att a foto showing the back of the gauge.

thx from germany.

Don't get me to lieing but one connects to the negative side of the coil and another should light up the tach at night so you can see it.

Here's a picture I found of one...the big blue wire is a switched 12vdc and the green looking wire goes to the negative side of the coil...case is ground. Seems that yours has a broken stud and is missing the rubber insulator, washer and nut for the green wire.
