wtf is this? as we were checking the pattern i noticed this. It looks like the metal is just rotting from the inside out. so should i stop and replace the carrier ?
I think I would, just to be safe. Also, agreed about glad on the safe return of the kid. I'll also add my thanks for his service.

Nice work Frank, hope you keep posting the pic's. I think you have alot of us following this build. I was wondering what your local blaster charged you for the first go around. Tell your son we appreciate his service. I'm getting ready to start a 68' charger as well, kids come first though, and we just had another son, maybe this spring.

First tell your son thank you for his service and thank you for our freedom we enjoy everyday.

Thats a great looking Charger and man when you talk about back yard working this is doing it in that since of things but your work is far better (100%) then any shade tree jobs I have seen done.

I have seen my dad take cars that would have been total losses and bring back to factory specs and man your doing it at home WOW. My dad had a body shop and did it for a living.

This is an awesome project and one I cant wait to see done and the kid driving, do you think you will get some seat time as well...........

Who did you get the metal panels from they look great are they AMD?

I feel bad for letting my Coronet R/T set now lol

+1 for thanking your stepson for his service to this country. I'm quite eager to see the results of this build, as I am suddenly faced with a similar project on the `68 R/T my father bought new when he got back from Vietnam (details here).

If you don't mind my asking, what would you charge for all the work you've done on that one? I'm just trying to get an idea of what I'm in for since I'm stuck letting someone else do the work due to lack of facilities. Probably better that way, I'm far better with mechanics than I am with body work. It's a black art I've yet to master, and my hats off to you for breathing life back into a car I grew up loving.
