71 RR Manual Conversion Question

So I have a 1971 Road Runner that's a 3-speed column-shift auto as it sits. I'd like to convert it to a 5-speed manual on the floor... I've been browsing Tremec and American Powertrain for the conversion kits. The issue I'm running into is I have bench seats in it now, and the conversions call for bucket seats. Has anyone done this to a 71 b body with bench seats? Any advice on making it work? I'm kinda partial to the bench seats...

I've browsed the forums and ran some searches but haven't found anything...

Thanks in advance

Dane

They were offered from the factory with a bench seat and 4 speed, so I would think it would work. Have you contacted them ?? Their shifters are adjustable

Try Keisler Transmissions for their offering of a Tremic 5 speed for a Mopar.
