Manual Lever Shaft Seal - 727 TF Trans Question

Guys - I'm not sure I got the right seal or not. I dropped the valve body out of my trans, removed the shift linkage, and dug out the old seal (it came apart in a million pieces so I could not compare it with the seal I got). Anyway, I'm looking at the seal and it's way bigger than hole it goes into. The manual says to hammer the seal in with a 5/16" socket. The seal is hard plastic around the outside and appears to be a softer rubber inside with a small spring around it. I don't see how hammering it into the hole is going to work. Plus, I'm trying to do this with the tranny still installed. I think I'm going to have to drop it down to hammer it in. Before I do this I need to know if I have the right seal. I've included pictures of the seal, the package it came in (includes part #), and pictures of the hole that it goes into. Let me know what you think.
