shift shaft seal replacement?

how do i replace my shift shaft seal in my 727 tranny?

Are you talking about the seal that is where the shifter "shaft" or "arm" comes up out of the tranny that is connected to the valve body?

I could be wrong (am half the time), but I think that you need to pull the valve body out of the tranny to replace that seal.
