Check for rust in the quarters, lower front fenders, top of the front fenders where the weather strip is inside them, rust in the rockers, rust in the front and rear bottom corners of the doors, and rust where the hood hinges mount. Be sure to check the rear frame for rust. All of that can be fixed, but it's not particularly easy or cheap. Those are some place they first start to rust, and if you find rust in other places, then there's a good chance either there's a problem causing that, or the other places have been fixed already.

take a magnet and put it on the car
if it doesn't stick, that means the car has bondo
what kind of engine/trans is in the satellite?

Forgot to mention... driver's side floor board is another first rust place for some reason, but those panels are being re-made if you can weld. Check the trunk floor for rust as well, and it will let you look at a good part of the inside quarters
