bench to buckets

Without having to make brackets, probably none. Most of the time though making a custom seat bracket isn't that hard.
I'd find a bucket seat that you really like and is comfy and go from there. Don't just settle on something because it fits.

I like my 03 jeep rubicon seats that I have in my 74 J10, but thats because I feel comfotable in them. I also like the 300M seats for cruising because you can just fall into them and forget where your going.
Your going to have to hit up a few junk yards and sit in the seats, sit in friend's vehicles, coworker's vehicles. relative's vehicles to find what fits your taste.

I like the earlier honda prelude seats. They have a very sport look and feel, adjustable bolstering and can be had for very cheap.
This particular set i bought for 30 dollars and resided in my Datsun. PicknPull had a sale day and i got each seat for 15 bucks. They were in perfect shape and working order. I later bought an identical set for my 72 Nova. Great seats and the stock honda rails are perfect for mounting to any car. Just needed one or 2 tabs welded on and some stock tabs cut off. Nothing special.
