Changing interior color, need advise

Hi forum, i have dark green charger 71, all original.

I understand the importance of keeping car in original shape, but, i really dont like this green inside, so im thinking of 2 ways:

Full leather upholstery
+ looking grear
- a bit expensive
- destroys panels with glue (??)

Painting parts DIY -

+cheap
- not as hot as leather

Aaand seats
1. Upholstery locally
2. Seat covers from legendary shop

What you think?

mouse -

If I were set on changing the color, I would replace everything - and yes, that will be expensive.

I don't care how well you prep and paint something, sooner or later it's going to chip or show wear.

I've been a painter for 40 years, you can paint anything. But replace whatever you sit on.
