Has any used POR-15? I have some areas in the trunk and floorboards that I am thinking I want to try this on. Easy to use? Does it work as published?

i use metal ready and i have no complaints. i use a differnt wash than marine clean. and i havent tried the coating.

POR15 is a great product but you need to take your time with it and follow the instructions very closely otherwise it will flake off. I would think that a good quality epoxy piant would work for you and is not so "needy".

my uncle used it on his coronet and it looked great like a new floor I have never used the stuff I use rustoleum black rust prohibitor thats all spelled wrong but your get the jist of things

I was told by the paint shop supply company in Canada that rustoleum is the same stuff ,and alot cheaper ,we get it at Canadian tire here in Canada

I've used both POR15 and Eastwood's Rust Encapsulator product. I think both are good, but I like the Eastwood product better....not that I would ever consider it, but I've heard others complain that you can't paint over POR15 (even if you use all the correct prep products)

POR-15 is great, some say you can't paint over it but you can if you prep right, and paint before the POR-15 fully cures. Well worth the money!

I agree, POR-15 has worked well for me. It lays down nicely and is really tough stuff!
