That would be a D60. Dodge/Chrysler/Plymouth never used a D44 as a rear axle in cars, only in the 1/2 ton trucks. A D44 wouldn't hold up behind a 440 motor.

a little hlpfull hint on dana diagnosis. look at the lower brace webbing on the pass. ide of the center section. it will be cast on the brace what it is. 60,70,44, etc.

Its not a 7.25, 8.25, 8.75, 9.25 or 9.75 rear axle. Only other axle that Chrysler used that I know of is the Dana 60 in the cars.

That does look like a D60 by the size of the diff cover bolts too. There are no tags on it or like rr69half6bbl said have you looked at the webbing?

the dana 60 and what was called the corprate dana look identical, until you look at the webbing you cant tell, they both have 12 bolt rear covers. the corprate is a 9 1/4 and the dana is a 9 3/4 ring gear.
