Elect Fuel Pump Question

Hey, Any tips on where to mount a malory elect. fuel pump, and filter? I'm gonna draw from a 1/2 in pick up, from a stock tank. TTI exhaust to the rear. If anyone knows of a web site, or can shoot me a photo of a b-body with a neat elect pump set up, Frank would greatly appreciate it. THANKS!!!

Fuel pump

Recently did this for my son-in-law on a non Mopar. Mounted the pump at rear on frame with filter B-4 pump ( in between tank and pump)
Also used a pressure regulator mounted on firewall with a return to tank and another filter at lie to carb.
Was not a Mallory pump but we have good volume and pressure-clean fuel to a 454.

Everything I have "been told" is that all electric pumps are better at pushing fuel than sucking it... I have always placed the pump as close tothe tank as possible and always put a filter between the two....

Just wanna say that electric pumps on a street car can pose problems. In the event of an accident, the pump wont shut off. Scary consequences!

Well that's easy to fix. You should be running through the ignition switch and a relay so that's safety device no1

You can then run the relay coil through an oil pressure switch, easy to do, so that's no 2

Finally, you can easily get a "crash switch" (My Ranger switch is mounted up under the dash, easy to get to) and wire that in series with the relay coil, so that's safety no3
