Glass

All my glas is intact, but, it all looks 'old'. Can glass be buffed or shined up, or somehow made new? Its coming out for paint anyway..... let me know. I really dont have the $1200 for new glass.

Yes it can be, especially if its just small pits or haze. There is a limit though, like driving without blades on your wipers! They can only take out so much. Leave the removal and polishing to a pro. If you stuff it up, you are screwed. If he does, then you might get some compensation!

cerium oxide will do the trick - however, a pro would be the way to go - without the proper equipment you risk making the glass wavy
