I have to pump the hell out of my 440 to get it sarted if I let it sit for a wk. or so any suggestions.

 

Fix the Choke.....

Spin the engine over about 20 times......Dont touch the throttle...
Mash the throttle to the floor 5 times with out cranking....
Let sit for 30 sec before cranking....
Crank it and light the candles.......

toss the mech pump. get an electric pump mounted by the fuel tank. good time to add heavy duty fuel filter. and rig a switch to run the pump BEFORE you crank the engine. be sure and use an oil pressure shut off switch, so the pump can NOT come on with no oil pressure. thats why you rig an override switch. and dont forget a fuse.
