Help!! 76 Cordoba" what fuse is in #4 position in fusebox?
Hey thanks for taking the time! Fuse number four, located second from bottom on left side of my Cordoba fusebox is showing voltage drop when I put multimeter on it and car is off. Plus battery is always being drained on my car. Not to mention looks like alternator is not charging.
I would like to trace this fuse 4 to see what this drain is before I bring the car to have it checked out. Maybe I can do it myself, but I don't have a diagram of the FB and can't find a map of it on the net anywhere. Can anyone help out with this??
Thanks!

Cannot answer directly, I don't know what fuse no 4 does
Have you tried removing the fuse to see "what quits?"
To troubleshoot battery drain, remove the ground and install your test lamp in series with the cable and battery post. If the lamp lights you have a draw. If it does not seem to light, try in a dark garage. If that gives no results, you may have a test lamp with too large a bulb. Try putting your multimeter (AMPS scale) in place of the lamp.
If you do get a light, remove the fuses one at a time / key off and locked
Don't forget to check for stuck underhood, trunk, glove box and other lamps.
Also if none of the fuses show up anything, check the lighter (not fused through the box in some cars) and CHECK THE ALTERNATOR. Diodes can get leaky. To check the alternator for leakage, unhook the big output wire from the stud.
Under what conditions are you measuring this drop? How much drop DOES it show? A drop across a fuse SHOULD be "making heat" and normally either indicates large current flow, a bad (not blown, but poor) fuse, bad fuse connections in the clips, or bad connections at the wire in the box.
