Locked Out!
Alright you B Body Guru's - I have a 69 Coronet 440 that's missing the door and trunk keys. Installing new door locks seems pretty straight forward, but my bigger problem is the trunk, I'm locked out! Should I hire a locksmith to re-key or can I get into the trunk via the back seat and replace the unit that way?
I have not pulled the back seat yet and am hoping for some advice prior to doing that.
Any tips/tricks/options?

Your asking a Detriot Boy how to break into a car?!
If the latch is the same as my 74 B- body, I can help you. Remove the back seat. I dont know what the bracing is on one of them, but if you can get in there, there is a 3/4 inch horizontal slot above the lock cylinder rod. In this slot you'll see a small lever inside. Push this firmly to the right and presto. It will take some effort, it doesnt trip easy. I await my thank yous.

Like they said, thru the back seat and you can open it. If you don't want to go to the expense of having all the locks re-keyed, take the chrome cover off each lock, shake out all the springs and tumblers, and re-install. They will still lock/unlock, but you can use any key for them after that, sort of like a skeleton/master key.
Small wife? Don't make the mistake I did... my ex asked if she was fat, and I told her I wasn't gonna say she was fat, but there was 80 lbs of her I wasn't legally married too. She didn't have too much of a sense of humor <sigh>

So after a bit of research it appears that the ignition/door cylinders are one set and the trunk is another...so I'm thinking I'll swap them all at once to keep the key count down to two.
I'm seeing ignition/door sets for the 67-68 and another for the 69, yet they show the exact same cylinder for the trunk. Was there a difference between the 68 and 69 ignition/door cylinder sets? There's a huge price difference that's for sure!
Looks like I'm crawling through the rear seat either way...beats a locksmith charge though!
Thanks for all the help (and humor so far)!

without a key, you'll be buying a lock set and the ignition switch. a locksmith will charge 8-12 bucks to make a key. if the cylinders have numbers on them it's done from a code book.
to remove the ignition cylinder you need to turn the key to accessory for it to come out.
the police cars had a special lock set. i think one key opened everything.
