motor swap

motor swap

Have 1964 Fury convert wanting to change 318 out replace with 440...what are the issues I will face? thks for any help!

A lot. The complete drive train should be changed. I believe the 64 still has the rear drum axle bolts SO the rear end - there again is the transmission problems with shift linkage unless you go aftermarket shifter.. drive shaft, engine mounts, radiator, some block huger headers and all the little details

TVlynn is right.
The trany,drive shaft, motor mounts, all have to be changed or modified.
Its a big deal. And all the details.

Another option ? Build yourself a 408 CI small block

Well, hope I haven't stepped in it but going 440 in the 64. Will most likely need some good info....any suggestions?
