Please Help to make 73/74 Roadrunner Quarter Skins available!!!

So, long story short, i have been looking for years for a driver side quarter skin for my 73 Roadrunner, and recently i found some hope for new reproduction skins.

I just purchased some trunk parts from Auto Metal Direct and its excellent quality stuff, but during the conversation with the sales guy there I asked about the possibility they may produce 73/74 Roadrunner quarters, and he said it was one of the possibilities they may do, but wasnt sure when.

So, I am hoping if there are others out there that need or would like to see reproduction quarter skins, that you please give them a call and make a request for them. If they receive enough requests, they may produce them in the near future, and we can finally restore our rides to their proper glory!!!!!

You can find Auto Metal Direct on the internet.
Cheers

I hear ya, I cannot find anything anymore in Colorado. I know there is a guy down in Alabama, Ted Stephens, that has quarter sections for 1500, including the wheel housing, trunk extension, b pillar, and quarter skin. But not sure of the quality, i.e., how much rust or dents.

If anyone can make up a good set of panels that will fit how they are suppose to, it's AMD.

I ordered a floor pan and rear quarter panel from them for my Valiant and they fit perfectly.... just my body work skills were/are lacking.

Looking at my RUST-FREE lowers, [haha], it doesnt seem as it would be that hard for a decent sheetmetal fab-shop to do. A flange at the bottom, with a decreasing radius in the roll. There is a contour line at the rear bumper that extends for a few inches, then dis-appears as it moves foreward. Contour of the wheel lip would be tough if needed. The metal is about 22ga. I've seen some real artists out there. Were it my car? I would cut-out the affected area, and shop the pieces around to different sheet-metal fab shops. They just need to match it. I think the inner wheelhouses and "trunk-extensions" are already available due to the 71-2 interchange.

Well, a lot of the teachers and some of the guys I know at MTTI said that AMD might be coming out with skins within the year or two.

Hopefully this is true, if not, when I go for full on college soon, I'll just need to sheet metal and weld.
