I have a question about my lock nut on the gas tank sending unit .When you turn it to lock, there is a raised lip on the lock .Is this a stop,and you shouldnt go any further or does it go under the tank lock ring also.Im not sure how far to tighten it and i dont want to tear the gasket.and i dont want it to leak.Of course at a dollar a liter i cant afford to fill it anyways .lol

Its a stop... you should only have to turn the ring 1/4 - 1/3 turn
