Does anyone know if there is a light in the steering column that illuminates the gear indicator on a 69 440? I seem to remember there was one on my oringinal car, but that was 25 years ago and my memory may be wrong. My present one is dark and before I tear it apart looking for a bulb that isn't there, I thought I'd ask.

I'm absolutely sure all of these are lighted
Here's a 69 (Dodge) service manual posted over at A bodies

However, while it does show dissasembly of the column, I didn't see one word in there about replacing that lamp, or even the pointer assembly.

Thanks. I tool a look at it over the weekend. No screws behind the PRND21 panel (no lens in front of it, either.) I took off the shroud to the dash and tried to remove the lower plate on the column, but it would only slide back and forth, not come out. I can see all the wires for the indicators in there, still not sure if there is a bulb for the panel. Going to have to wait until I have time to tear more of it down.

I think if you remove the steering wheel you might find one mounted to the top of the turn signal cam. The light shines up towards the gear selections.
