Stereo Replacement on '73 Satellite Wagon

Hello -- just bought a '73 Satellite Custom Wagon. I'm wondering what the easiest way to get acceptable stereo sound in the car with minimal (or no) drilling or cutting. I've read about dual voice coil speakers that could fit into the 4x6 speaker space on the dash, but it's hard to come by radios -- with satellite and aux jack -- that fit into that space. Is it just easier to mount the radio under the dash, then install some loaded enclosure speaker box? Thanks -- Hoody

They make speakers that can fit under the front seats so no doorpanel or kickpanel cutting is required. You situation doesn't have a trunk but you could see if you could tuck a stero head in the glove box. That way you remain stock looking.

I got a "radio pocket" off ebay, and mounted it under my air conditioner vents. looks pretty slick! as for speakers, eric's idea for speaker boxes under the seats should work nice. also, you can get an antenna splitter so both the new radio and the old one can work!
