The value will all depend on the potential buyer, if you ever sell it. Some might pay more for what you will do to it and some might frown and pay less. Just keep everything you take off and make all mods reversible and you will safe. Window dressings?? Are you going to hang some dingle *****????

road runner's that are #'s matching as original as possible or dressed up with there original parts are usually good sellers I personally see the ones with a little chrome here and there go for allot more than the others only because raod runners never had allot of chrome correct pin stripes, paint, emblems are also a good thing like stated above make sure its reversible

If it makes you feel any better, I recently attended a "hot rod" show, where 98% of the cars were cherried out customs and rat rods.
The other 2%? One was a restified 70 RR. But my total favorite? The BONE STOCK 68 Superbee (course the Hemi got plenty of my attention). Shiny isn't what attracted me, and I spent most of the day chatting with the owner. The car was totally unappreciated by pretty much everyone there, except the owner's friends.
So it all depends on what you like. Keep your original parts though and I would advise against doing anything too difficult to reverse. Chrome doesn't impress gearhead girls though. Power and class does.

PRINTDOC, NOW THAT I HAVE SEEN PICS OF YOUR CAR, I BEG YOU DON'T CHANGE A THING UNDER THE HOOD, SOME PEOPLE WOULD CRY TO OPEN THEIR HOODS AND HAVE WHAT YOU HAVE.
I'll stop shouting now..hahaha. Seriously man, your car is super clean and from what I can see, correct under the hood. I have to say in my humble opinion I prefer the stock period correct engine compartment vs another chromed out clone. Could you post another pic of under the hood.
