78 Chrysler Newport speedometer issues

Hello All!

This is my first time posting, and I hope I'm in the right place... The speedometer on my '78 Newport only goes up to 70km/h and I dont think the odometer is working either. Do I need a new cable or something?? I'm totally at a loss. I'm not really a car guy but I have to be with this car haha.

I would suggest you stop by your local transmission shop and ask then to take a peek at it. Could be something as simple as the cable has come disconnected?
