'Accessing thermostat on 65 Chrysler 300 with A/C

'Accessing thermostat on 65 Chrysler 300 with A/C
It looks as though I need to remove the A/C compressor in order to access the thermostat housing rear bolt head. Has anyone done so without removing the compressor? Any help would be very much appreciated!
