When I removed the drum from the tapered axle, the previous person that put on the new brakes messed up the threads on the axle. I finished them off. Retapped the axle but the damage was too severe and the nut will not tighten to required torque. Any ideas of how to savage axle or where to locate a used one?

 

I would say Heli-Coil.... Thats what i would do in a pinch
