OK, lets go outside the box. If the car has a K frame, then just use another one for the swap. Of course I could be a dumbass , and your car doesnt have a K frame.

my dad had an old plymouth fury trooper car with a 440 in it.not sure about the front end though.

It probably is a 318, just the type that came out in 1964 though. It is called a "polysphere" engine. They look big because of the valve configuration. It required a larger head layout. Look at it again, is the distributor in the back of the engine? If it is, then it's probably a 318. Distributor in front is a big-block.

going the TC route your going to have to make changes also a little fabbing here and there...intercooler as well...

i say you keep the original engine/tranny in it...just rebuild them as a project a little paint etc. just my 2 cents
