Carburetor for my plymouth fury
Do you know what the accelerator pump is? With a quick full throttle and no stutter shows there is a good full pump shot. At of idle or "breakaway" there is not enough and it stumbles showing a worn piston seal or improper adjustment. This can sometimes be overcome by turning the idle screws out some. If the carb is new rebuilt then likely an adjustment will correct this, if not then I would source a new accelerator pump piston.
Hey, look what I found: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/rep...00c15280087af9

The adjustment point will be the same for yours .290" to top of stem.

The carburetor isn't new but after to put in the car I pay to a mechanic for clean it and check the status
I miss something: Now is a bit difficult start the car, I must start to pump the throttle or the car don't start. Before the carburetor swap I only have to turn the key and pump the throttle one time and the car starts like it was new
Here is the 2245: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/rep...00c1528007fc62
In the pictures it is that triangular piece with the three slots and a rod connected to the throttle linkage. As you open the throttle the rod moves the slotted piece pushing down on a stem, this stem goes inside to a plunger that pushes gas through to two small holes squirting gas at each venturi to mix with the bunch of air you added by stepping on the gas pedal real fast. That plunger has a seal on the end which if old or left to dry out may not seal properly and not push all the gas it should. On your carb not hard to find individually or replace but the top gasket may get ripped when the top is removed. For the cost of a rebuild kit I buy the kit then depending on the condition of the carb decide if I remove and rebuild or just do the pump. When you remove the top it will decide what to do as you may find debris inside and then a cleaning and rebuild is required.
If you search videos you can find things on this subject aswell.

Thanks for all the help from the forum users. Now I'm going to rebuild the cylinder heads of my Fury and I want to take to carry out some modifications on the engine and rear end gear to get a bit better fuel economy. If anyone is interested to help me with this please look this thread
Again, thanks!
Again, thanks!
